都市昆蟲學(Urban Entomology)是在1970年代興起的應用昆蟲學的分支學科，在先進發達國家受到重視，發展相當迅速，在我國則正在起步之中。本課程主要探討在人們居住的環境中，不論是都市或鄉村，和人類、寵物及植物有交互作用的節肢動物的生活史及其防治。本課程內容以W. H. Robinson的書為主，綱要如下：
